The pain…the difficulty…there is purpose there. God will reveal these things to you if you seek Him with all of your heart and stay in His Presence. Too many of us jump around and stay confused, without ever getting clarity, renewed vision, and pre-ordained destiny for our lives. God will and wants to re-cycle/re-interpret our pain for His Kingdom Purposes and your good. Trust Him.
