Staying sure-footed

Habakkuk 3: 18,19: “yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. God, the Lord, is my strength; He makes my feet like the deer’s; He makes me tread on my high places.”

Psalm 18:33: “He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places.”

There will be times in life when crises come. Life is going to get hard at times. God never tells us that we won’t have troubles, trials, or tribulations. However, God promises us that the troubles and crises don’t have the final say. He has given us grace to not only survive the trials but also to overcome them as well. When God promises that He will make our feet like deer or the hind, this means that we can live above our circumstances. God gives us the grace, courage, and inner strength we need to press on to attain new heights. The mountain or problems that looked like we would never overcome it, with hind’s feet, we can move swiftly and unafraid what seems to be insurmountable. We can live like a deer on a mountain slope, stepping boldly into whatever God has called us to do. With God’s promises as our strong foundation, we can walk in freedom and courage, as unafraid and undaunted as a deer leaping on high places.
