THE CONDITION OF OUR HEART
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me” Psalm 51:10.
PROVERBS 4:23 says: Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it (NIV).
When your heart-your inner life- is healthy, it’s amazing how peaceful, content and even happy you can be-even in the middle of difficult situations.For example your real life is the life that’s in you-not your circumstances.
Proverbs 4:23. This scripture is referring to your inner life-what’s going on inside of you-your thoughts, motives and desires, rather than your physical heart.
There are many symptoms of an unhealthy heart. Impatience, bitterness, envy,anger-these are just a few of the signs.
I believe we all have experiences like this at times. And they are just symptoms of a bigger issue.It’s time for us to get to the heart of the matter, and the heart of the matter is the heart it self. Some of us are long overdue for a heart transplant under the knife of the Holy Spirit at the altar bed of God’s Throne .
A healthy heart rejoices when someone else is blessed Romans 12:15.
A healthy heart sees a problem as an opportunity James 1:2-4.
A healthy heart finds a way to laugh and enjoy each new day Proverbs 17:22.
A healthy heart sees other the way God sees them John 13:3-5.
You see, just as there are symptoms of an unhealthy physical heart, there are signs and symptoms of the healthy spiritual heart God wants you to have.
“I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live yet not I, it’s Christ that lives in me. This life I now live in the flesh, I live in faith in the Son of God, the One who loved me and gave His life for me.”
